A CUSTOM CERAMICS STUDIO SPECIALIZING IN THE DESIGN, MANUFACTURE AND INSTALLATION OF ARCHITECTURAL CERAMICS

WHY USE CERAMIC MATERIALS?

Because of its plasticity, ceramic materials permit a freedom of styles and forms not possible to other materials used in construction.

Ceramic materials are non-toxic, natural and biodegradable.

Ceramic materials are non-flammable and resistant to chemical products. Unlike wood or metal, ceramic materials do not need maintenance as they do not rust or scratch.

Ceramic material is the most abundant natural resource on the planet and there are a number of interesting deposits in the Kootenay region.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?

The average job takes about 2 months to complete, from the moment that the design has been decided until the final installation. (see process)

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Ultimately the price depends on the complexity and size of the project.

The complexity of a project is determined by different factors: the characteristics of the design, the number of colours included, if there is relief, if it is two or three dimensional, the number of firings required, and the total surface area and volume of the project. Depending on these elements, our projects are estimated between a minimum of $150 and a maximum of $400 per square foot (10 square feet minimum).
